Another year has quickly gone by, and Christmas is right around the corner. A lot has happened during this year, and now it’s time to take a step back and rewind of what’s happened.
The year started with the EU EIC Accelerator-project planning and applying to the program. A grant from Runar Bäckström’s Invention Foundation helped us greatly in preparing the project proposal as well as several letters of support from different organizations around the industry. From the Accelerator-program, we were awarded the Seal of Excellence.
The Seal of Excellence is a proof quality work in the project proposal as well as a sign of interest towards the company’s innovation. Over 1 000 companies applied to the Accelerator-program, and Biometa was included in the best of them. Multi-phased applying process culminated in the Biometa Team’s project and innovation pitch in front of an international jury. The jury included investors, industry experts as well as EU’s own representatives.
As for product development, different tests and test series at our test plant were finished during the year. Next phase of development is piloting the world’s first farm-sized bioproduct plant and testing it, leading to the productization and commercialization of the bioproduct plant concept.
We are seeking funders and partners to carry out the next phases of our development work.
Holidays are, however, nearing and now is a great time to reload shortly before the New Year.
Biometa’s Team wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
